Seven Flue Installations
Scope & Objectives
Plastipak is a global leader in the rigid plastic packaging and recycling industries. With innovation as a key driver, Plastipak operates at more than 60 sites across the globe.
We were asked by Piovan to install Seven Flues to one of the buildings at Plastipak’s facility at Wrexham.
The flue systems that we provided were multi-application products suitable for gas, biomass and oil fired appliances; ideal for modern high efficiency and condensing applications.
We included a frame type support from the floor to 1m above the spigot for each flue system to take the deadweight of the flues.
Challenges
After the job was complete, there was a small water leak from one of the penetration points in the roof, but within a day this was resolved.
Results
The project was a success. Both Plastipak and Piovan were a pleasure to work with.
